2024 will host the 13th edition of Rising High!

We are proud to invite you to join the 13th edition of Rising High! On the Pentecost weekend of May 18-20, we’ll open the fields for two days of competitive and fun frisbee games. As it is tradition, there is a 'Rising' and a 'High' division, you will be put into the division that gives you the best tournament journey experience we can offer. This year we also aim to expand the two-division system to the Women's competition!

All 6 to 7 games will be played 7v7, Open or Women’s, 60 minutes long and on grass.

This year, we are going up and above with our theme "Rising High: Launch into Glory!" Get ready for this amazing weekend where players will embark on an interstellar journey of epic proportions. Join us as we defy gravity, embrace victory, and celebrate the cosmic fusion of athleticism. This year will also introduce a first for Rising High: a prize pool! The winners of Rising High 2024 will be guaranteed entry to the next edition of Rising High and will receive 7 players' worth of discount for the next organized edition. Before you climb the placement ladder you have the chance to join us on Saturday for some HAT action and Spikeball games! This way you can already bond with other teams, spend time with team mates you haven't seen for some time or get to know new ones. On Sunday evening you have the chance to get together at a fun party and share stories over a beer, plot strategies for the remaining games or to simply dance the night away.

We will also offer Partial-Pick-Up teams, this is especially aimed to create more competition in the Women’s division: you can sign up with a few friends and become one team with another group. This way we hope to get a healthy synergy going soon and you can enjoy the tournament together, even though you might not be enough for a full team. Signing up as an individual is also possible.

This year we have an Early Bird discount if you sign up before 7 March 2024. Normal registration closes 17 March 2024! Selection of teams will be announced on 20 March.

The registration deadline for the women's division, including full teams, partial teams, and pickup players, is extended until 24 March 2024.

EUCS

This year's edition is approved by EUF! This means that if your team wants to be ranked for the European Ultimate Club Season (EUCS), this is possible. More information can be found here.

Prize Pool

As mentioned earlier, the winners of Rising High 2024 will be guaranteed entry to the next edition of Rising High and will receive 7 players' worth of discount for the next organized edition. The rules are as follows:

At the end of the tournament, the highest-ranking non-Force Elektro team will receive a voucher worth 7 RH2024 player tickets, worth €525, to the next organized edition of Rising High.
Both the Open and Women category will receive a voucher.
The voucher will be sent out to the appointed contact person after the tournament has concluded and can be used at sign-up to the next edition.
The voucher will be given out on a team basis. The voucher can only be used by the same team in the next edition. The voucher can not be passed to another team without prior approval by the Rising High organization.
Force Elektro (partial) teams and Pickup players are not eligible to participate.
If a team consisting of multiple partial teams wins, the voucher will be split among the teams involved, based on the ratio of the players on the rosters. In accordance with rule 5, pickup players or Force Elektro Partial teams will not receive the voucher. If a team consisting of multiple partial teams wins, and Force Elektro makes up one of those teams, the voucher will be split among the remaining teams, excluding Force Elektro.
The voucher can only be used for the next organized edition, not any subsequent editions. If your team decides to not go to the next edition, the voucher will be voided.
If the winning team is not able to make the next edition, the tickets will not be turned into a monetary refund. If a team signs up using the voucher, but does not reach the worth of the voucher by signing up with less than 7 players, the remainder of the voucher will not be turned into a monetary refund.

Location

Rising High takes place at Sportpark Tanthof. There are 3 grass soccer fields and 3 artificial grass soccer fields at this complex. Games, camping, dinner and party are all at the same site.

Payment Policy

Rising High is organised without a team fee. To confirm your spot at Rising High, we expect you to transfer 7 player fees before the 30th of March (7x €75 = €525 for Early bird discount, 7x €80 = €560 for normal fee). Then, before the 18th of April you will have to confirm your number of players and transfer the remaining player fees. Afterwards you will still be able to add or remove players in consultation with the organisation receiving a full refund.

Refund Policy

Unfortunately, we can not exclude the possibility that a major global event will interfere with the organisation of the tournament. Therefore, we have written the following refund policy regarding cancellation from either a team or the full tournament.

As we get closer to the weekend, the uncertainty decreases, which is good, but also forces us to make some financial commitments (book the fields, secure the food, etc.). Therefore we will have an adaptive refund policy. Our policy is to make as much as possible available to the teams. The closer we get to Rising High, the higher our costs. We strive to refund as much as possible, but below is what you'll most likely get refunded.

Tournament Refund
If we have to cancel Rising High due to factors that are out of our hands as an organisation, you will receive the following refunds:
- Before the 18th of April: you will receive 100% of your Player Fees.
- Before the 6th of May: you will receive 50% of your Player Fees.
- After the 6th of May: we will try to refund as much as possible, but taken our costs made into account we can't make any guarantees.

Team Refund
If you as a team have to cancel, because you no longer have the number of necessary players or for any other valid reason, you will not receive a guaranteed refund. Of course the organisation will try to still refund as much as possible, once we have finalised our finances after the tournament.
